Special Weather Statement: Baldwin Central; Baldwin Coastal; Escambia Coastal
The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement for coastal Escambia and Baldwin counties, warning of strong thunderstorms with wind gusts up to 40 mph impacting Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Lillian, and surrounding areas.
Affected area: Baldwin Central; Baldwin Coastal; Escambia Coastal

At 444 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Summerdale to 11 miles southeast of Perdido
Beach. Movement was west at 25 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include…
Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Lillian, Bon Secour, Perdido Beach, and
Fort Morgan.
Precautionary Actions for Baldwin County Weather Alert
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Marine Safety and Escambia County Weather Precautions
If on or near marine areas, get out of the water and move indoors or
inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
