Pensacola, Fl. NewsWK —The City of Pensacola Planning Board will convene this afternoon at 2:00 PM for its monthly session to review pivotal zoning amendments, land use requests, and development updates impacting local neighborhoods.
The meeting will take place in the Hagler-Mason Conference Room on the second floor of City Hall.

Key Agenda Items

According to the official city agenda packet issued for the June 9 session, the board will address several localized development items, including a notable residential rezoning request and updates to the city’s building guidelines:

  • Approval of Prior Minutes: The board will open with the review and approval of the official minutes from the previous meeting held on May 12, 2026.
  • Final Aesthetic Review – 675 Centros Street: A review concerning properties within the Gateway Redevelopment District-1 (Aragon area) to ensure proposed design changes align with historical and neighborhood aesthetic standards.
  • Zoning and Future Land Use Map Amendment – 1005 W. Lloyd Street: The board will evaluate a petition to rezone the property at 1005 W. Lloyd Street, specifically reviewing a zoning comparison transitioning the parcel from Low Density Residential (R-1AAA) to Medium Density Residential (R-1AA) regulations.
  • Land Development Code (LDC) Phase 2 Update: Board members will receive a comprehensive procedural update regarding the ongoing Phase 2 revisions to the city’s primary Land Development Code.

The board’s findings and votes this afternoon will serve as formal recommendations, which will later move forward to the Pensacola City Council for final legislative approval.
