Bill Steven Forrest, 78, of Pensacola, Passes Away

Bill Steven Forrest, aged 78, passed away peacefully at his home in Pensacola, Florida, on June 27, 2026. A funeral service will be held at Waters and Hibbert Funeral Home Chapel, located at 124 West Gregory Street, Pensacola, on Thursday, July 16, 2026.

The service will begin with a Rosary and Mass at 11 a.m., followed by a procession to Barrancas Cemetery at Naval Air Station Pensacola at 1:30 p.m. sharp. A reception will take place afterward at the funeral home.

Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Bill moved to California with his family, where he cultivated a deep love for God, the Catholic Faith, and photography. Bill served in the U.S. Navy for over two decades, primarily stationed in Italy, where he developed a strong connection to the culture and the people. While living in Italy, he married his first wife, Angela. After retiring from the Navy, he relocated his family to Pensacola, where he continued to serve in a civilian role at NAS Pensacola for 30 years before fully retiring.

Bill was predeceased by his first wife Angela and his sons, William and Andrew. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Maria, along with his daughter Katherine. Bill will be fondly remembered for his dedication to family, his humor, and his enjoyment of serving delicious espressos and cappuccinos to loved ones.
