The Sting and Arrest in Pensacola
According to court filings and records from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida, the investigation began in October 2025 when Glover initiated online chats with someone he believed to be a 14-year-old girl residing in Pensacola. The persona was actually operated by undercover agents participating in a regional child exploitation task force.
Over several weeks, Glover negotiated terms to perform sexual acts in exchange for $200 in cash. On October 28, 2025, Glover drove across the state line from his Mobile County home to a designated meeting location off Nine Mile Road in Pensacola, where federal task force agents took him into custody without incident. Officers recovered $200 in cash and electronic devices from his vehicle.
Glover formally entered a guilty plea on April 15, 2026, to charges of attempted sex trafficking of a minor and traveling in interstate commerce to engage in illicit sexual conduct.
Career, Background, and Local Impact
Glover, a graduate of the University of Mobile and the University of South Alabama, worked in local education systems across southern Alabama for more than two decades, transitioning from high school social studies instruction in Mobile County to technology support and educational logistics for Baldwin County Public Schools.
Following his federal arrest in October 2025, Baldwin County School District officials terminated Glover’s employment. Public records indicate his spouse filed for divorce shortly after his indictment.
Local law enforcement leadership noted that while Glover’s positions did not place him in direct daily oversight of Escambia County students, the proximity of his former employment base heightened the necessity of swift action.
“Online predators do not respect county borders or state lines,” law enforcement officials emphasized following the sentencing. “This case demonstrates the vital role inter-agency coordination plays in intercepting individuals before harm occurs.”
Multi-Agency Task Force Operation
The prosecution was handled under Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide Department of Justice initiative aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse. The multi-agency operation that led to Glover’s apprehension included contributions from:
- Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE)
- Homeland Security Investigations (HSI)
- U.S. Marshals Service
- Escambia County Sheriff’s Office
Assistant U.S. Attorney Thomas P. Swaim prosecuted the case on behalf of the federal government. Glover was remanded directly into the custody of the U.S. Marshals to begin serving his sentence.
