The National Weather Service in Mobile issued a special weather statement for inland Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. Strong thunderstorms near Jay and Century could bring 40 mph wind gusts, potentially knocking down tree limbs and blowing unsecured objects.

At 503 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 6
miles south of Jay, or 11 miles southeast of Century, moving
northwest at 10 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
Century, Flomaton, and Jay.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
