The National Weather Service issued a special weather statement for Baldwin and Escambia counties. A strong thunderstorm near Lillian is tracking east, bringing potential wind gusts up to 50 mph and half-inch hail to the region.

At 205 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10
miles northwest of Lillian, or 12 miles east of Robertsdale, moving
east at 5 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of east central
Baldwin and southern Escambia Counties.

Precautionary / preparedness actions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
