Qualifying Week for Local Elections Starts Monday in Escambia County

Beginning June 8, candidates for various local offices in Escambia County, Century, and Pensacola can officially qualify to run for election. The qualifying period will last until June 12, with candidates able to submit their paperwork at the Escambia County Supervisor of Elections office located at 213 Palafox Place, 2nd Floor, Pensacola. Office hours for qualifying are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Additionally, a special in-person qualifying event is scheduled for June 10 at the Century Town Hall, located at 7995 North Century Boulevard, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

This election cycle includes two seats on the Escambia County Commission: District 2, currently occupied by Mike Kohler, and District 4, held by Ashlee Hofberger, both of whom have already prefiled to run.

Important election dates to remember are the primary election on August 18 and the general election on November 3.
