Patricia Ann (Beasley) Houk, a cherished member of the Pensacola community, passed away on May 23, 2026, following a courageous battle with Huntington’s disease. She was surrounded by her loving husband, James C. Houk, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage.

Born on February 16, 1950, in Atmore, Alabama, Patricia, affectionately known as Tricia, was beloved as a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her vibrant personality and sense of humor left a lasting impact on those who knew her. A graduate of Pensacola High School in 1968, she later attended Pensacola Junior College.

Tricia was actively involved in her community and her church, Pleasant Home Primitive Baptist Church, where she contributed by preparing meals and supporting her husband, who served as an elder. Her professional journey included roles at a CPA firm, Smurfit Stone Container, and Starter Sportswear, ultimately retiring from the Escambia County Florida School District.

Her most treasured role, however, was as a devoted mother and grandmother. She was deeply engaged in her daughters’ activities, particularly as a supportive figure to the Tate High Color Guard, where she earned the affectionate title of “Momma Houk.”

Tricia is survived by her husband, James; her daughters, Nancy Brannen and Marcia McCrory; and her grandchildren, Bria Hardy, Nolan McCrory, Tenley Brannen, and Taylyn Brannen, among others. She also leaves behind her brother Ronney Beasley, several nieces and nephews, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Othell and Mary Patricia Beasley, and her daughter, Connie Renee Houk Hardy. Tricia will be remembered fondly, especially for her laughter and warmth. The family expresses their gratitude to Solaris Healthcare, Pleasant Home Primitive Baptist Church, and Avalon Baptist Church for their unwavering support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations to favorite charities are encouraged.
