Remembering James ‘Buddy’ Edward Hall: A Life of Family and Nature in Pensacola

James “Buddy” Edward Hall, a longtime resident of Pensacola, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026, at the age of 90. Buddy was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, known for his profound love for family and his appreciation of the outdoors.

Buddy’s legacy is one of hard work, kindness, and devotion to his loved ones. He was an enthusiastic outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and cherished the natural beauty surrounding him. Buddy was also a dedicated fan of the Atlanta Braves, often found cheering for his team while sharing laughter and stories with family and friends.

At home, Buddy took great pride in his gardens, particularly his cherished daylilies, which symbolized his patience and love for beauty. His family was the center of his world, and he created countless memories with them that will be cherished for generations.

He is survived by his son, Ronnie (Bonita) Hall, along with his grandchildren: Shaun (Jennifer) Hall, Kristi Hall, Timmy Hall, Rayna Hall, Ariel Hall, and Kayla (Jeff) DeVore. He also leaves behind 15 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Buddy was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Laura Hall, as well as his son James E. Hall II and daughter Andrea Hall Couch.

Visitation for Buddy will take place on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will occur at Elizabeth Chapel Cemetery in Chumuckla, Florida.

His family finds solace in the values he embodied: love, appreciation for nature, hard work, and kindness. Although he will be deeply missed, his memory will continue to flourish like the daylilies he tended so lovingly, living on in the hearts of all who knew him.
