Blue Wahoos Suffer 4-0 Defeat Against Lookouts

On June 6, 2026, the Pensacola Blue Wahoos faced a tough challenge as they were shut out by the Chattanooga Lookouts, losing 4-0 at home. The game highlighted the Wahoos’ struggles at the plate, with only three hits recorded throughout the night.

Chattanooga’s starting pitcher, Johnathan Harmon, delivered an impressive performance, allowing just two singles and striking out six over seven innings. In contrast, Pensacola’s Orlando Ortiz-Mayr put in his longest outing of the season, pitching six innings and giving up three earned runs along with six hits and five strikeouts.

The Blue Wahoos, now with a record of 27-28, fell below the .500 mark for the first time since May 22. The Lookouts improved to 3-1 in the current series, having restricted Pensacola to just two runs over the last three games.

Pensacola’s hits came from Dillon Lewis, Cristian Hernández, and Juan Matheus, each contributing a single. The Lookouts’ defense proved formidable, executing three double plays to stifle any potential offensive momentum from the Wahoos.

Chattanooga took an early lead in the second inning, scoring two runs with back-to-back doubles, followed by another run in the fifth inning and a final insurance run in the ninth.

The Blue Wahoos will look to bounce back as they continue their series against the Lookouts on Saturday night.
