Benjamin “Ben” Allan Buchanan, a beloved resident of Pace, Florida, passed away on May 29, 2026, at the age of 49. Born in Pensacola and raised in Milton and Pace, he was the son of Carlton and Angelita Buchanan.
Ben graduated from Pace High School in 1994 and continued his education at Pensacola State College, earning an Associate degree. Throughout his career, he worked in the nursing and food and beverage industries, most recently as a driver for Buffalo Rock.
Known for his unwavering loyalty to the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs, Ben was an avid sports fan and enjoyed golf whenever possible. He had a passion for cooking and cherished the time spent with his children, Karmen Miller, Abigail Buchanan, and Luke Buchanan, who were the focal point of his life.
Survived by his parents, children, and siblings, Ben’s spirit will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. A celebration of his life is scheduled for June 5, 2026, at Lewis Funeral Home Pace Chapel, with public visitation beginning at 3:00 p.m. and the funeral service at 4:00 p.m.
