Connie Faith Gillis, 71, a resident of Milton, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026. Her family and friends take solace in the belief that she is now free from pain and at rest with her faith.

Born on October 4, 1954, in Brewton, Alabama, Connie lived her life grounded in faith, love, and compassion. A devoted Christian, she was known for her kindness and ability to brighten the lives of those around her. Her warm spirit and infectious laughter left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Throughout her life, Connie worked in various capacities, always demonstrating dedication and a heartfelt approach. She found joy in simple pleasures, particularly in nurturing her garden, which mirrored the love she had for her family and friends.

As a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, her family was her pride and joy. Connie’s legacy of faith, strength, and unconditional love will continue to resonate with all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Earl Wolfe, Sr. and Pauline Shell Wolfe, and her brother, Ernest Earl Wolfe, Jr. Connie is survived by her husband, Wade Gillis, with whom she shared 47 years of marriage; her sister, Judy Wolfe Wood (Philip); her children, Valerie Pittman (Wayne), Kevin Gillis (Mignon), and Sawyer Gillis (Britney); and her beloved grandchildren, Emma, Kennedy, Jackson, Kiptyn, and Wade, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Lewis Funeral Home Milton Chapel, located at 6405 Highway 90 West, Milton, Florida. The service will be held the following day, June 1, 2026, beginning at 11:00 am. Pastor Wesley Mathews and Pastor Paul Whitfield will officiate the service.

Pallbearers for the service will include Trent Mathews, Jeff Mathews, Dusty Mathews, Eric Salter, Mike Simmons, and Eddie Wright. Honorary pallbearers are Chad Salter and Duwayne Wolfe.
