PENSACOLA, Fla. — The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) released official details regarding the arrest and investigation of 22-year-old Sebastian Christopher Ballensky.

  • 2 counts of Use of a Computer to Seduce, Solicit, Lure, or Entice a Minor to Engage in Sexual Conduct
  • 2 counts of Failure to Register an Internet Identifier

Timeline & Investigation Breakdown

Current Status: The warrant was executed while Ballensky remained incarcerated at the Holmes County Jail, where he is currently being held.

April 2026 — Compliance Interview & Initial Arrest: Investigators from FDLE’s Missing Persons and Offender Enforcement (MPOE) Division assisted the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) during a routine residence interview to check Ballensky’s compliance with sex offender registration laws. During the check, FDC agents located cocaine hidden inside his residence. He was arrested for Violation of Probation (VOP), booked into the Escambia County Jail, and subsequently transferred to the Holmes County Jail (where his original probation sentence originated).

Subsequent FDLE Investigation: While Ballensky was incarcerated on the probation violation, FDLE MPOE investigators conducted a deeper forensic probe. They discovered he had been operating unreported Snapchat accounts to communicate with minors, actively soliciting explicit material from them, and transmitting harmful/explicit content to them.

July 28, 2026 — Arrest Warrant Issued: FDLE obtained an official arrest warrant detailing the 20 felony charges related to child exploitation and registration failures.
