Timeline & Investigation Breakdown

Current Status: The warrant was executed while Ballensky remained incarcerated at the Holmes County Jail, where he is currently being held.

April 2026 — Compliance Interview & Initial Arrest: Investigators from FDLE’s Missing Persons and Offender Enforcement (MPOE) Division assisted the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) during a routine residence interview to check Ballensky’s compliance with sex offender registration laws. During the check, FDC agents located cocaine hidden inside his residence. He was arrested for Violation of Probation (VOP), booked into the Escambia County Jail, and subsequently transferred to the Holmes County Jail (where his original probation sentence originated).

July 28, 2026 — Arrest Warrant Issued: FDLE obtained an official arrest warrant detailing the 20 felony charges related to child exploitation and registration failures.
