PENSACOLA, Fla. — Northwest Florida travelers looking to skip longer airport security lines have one final opportunity Friday, Aug. 7, to sign up for TSA PreCheck at Pensacola International Airport (PNS).

The temporary four-day enrollment pop-up event, hosted in collaboration with security solutions provider IDEMIA, wraps up operations in Suite 225 at 2430 Airport Blvd. The final walk-in and appointment windows run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Pensacola International Airport TSA PreCheck Details and Requirements

The on-site event brings enrollment services directly to local residents across Escambia and Santa Rosa counties, offering a five-year membership for $76.75 through IDEMIA, an authorized TSA PreCheck provider since 2013.

The program is available to U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, and lawful permanent residents. Applicants visiting the Pensacola International Airport location must complete several standard verification steps, including:

Presenting valid government-issued identity and citizenship documentation.
Completing fingerprinting and facial photograph capture.
Paying the $76.75 application fee.

Although walk-in applicants are accepted during the designated hours, officials encourage completing the preliminary online application beforehand to minimize wait times. Once approved, most applicants receive their assigned Known Traveler Number (KTN) within three to five days, which must then be added to flight reservations to access expedited lanes.

Streamlining the Travel Experience

First launched by the Transportation Security Administration in October 2011, TSA PreCheck is designed to focus security resources on pre-screened, low-risk passengers. According to TSA figures, approximately 99% of PreCheck members spend 10 minutes or less in airport security lines nationwide.

PNS TSA PreCheck and Faster Security Screening

Enrolled passengers using designated lanes at more than 200 participating airports do not need to remove shoes, belts, or light outerwear. Additionally, laptops, 3-1-1 compliant liquids, and food items can remain packed inside carry-on bags.

Local officials emphasized the benefit of bringing these processing services directly to area residents.

“We’re proud to continue our partnership with TSA and IDEMIA to bring convenient, on-site TSA PreCheck enrollment opportunities to our passengers,” said Pensacola International Airport Executive Director Matt Coughlin. “Programs like this help us enhance the travel experience and make flying out of PNS even easier.”

Travelers in Pensacola, Gulf Breeze, Pace, and surrounding communities who are unable to attend the final day of the PNS pop-up event can still complete online applications and schedule appointments year-round at permanent IDEMIA enrollment centers across the region.
