* WHAT…For the Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 112 expected.
For the Extreme Heat Watch, dangerously hot conditions with heat
index values up to 115 possible.
* WHERE…In Alabama, Baldwin Central, Baldwin Coastal, Mobile
Central, and Mobile Coastal Counties. In Florida, Escambia Coastal,
Escambia Inland, Okaloosa Coastal, Okaloosa Inland, Santa Rosa
Coastal, and Santa Rosa Inland Counties.
* WHEN…For the Heat Advisory, from 10 AM to 8 PM CDT Monday. For
the Extreme Heat Watch, from Tuesday morning through Tuesday
evening.
* IMPACTS…Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high
humidity may cause heat illnesses.
Precautionary / preparedness actions
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
