PENSACOLA, FL — It is time to lace up those sneakers and start practicing! The City of Pensacola Parks & Recreation Department has officially opened registration for the 2026 Pensacola Senior Games, giving local athletes age 50 and over the chance to showcase their skills, connect with the community, and compete for the gold.

The annual sporting series will run this year from September 11 through September 26, 2026.

🏆 Competitions and State Qualifiers

Sanctioned by the Florida Sports Foundation, the Pensacola Senior Games act as a direct qualifier for the Florida Senior Games, providing local athletes a pathway to state and national stages. Top finishers in each event will be awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals based on their respective age brackets.

This year, participants can choose from 22 different sporting events scattered across various city venues. Featured sports include:

  • Track and Field
  • Swimming
  • Tennis & Pickleball
  • Bowling & Billiards
  • Archery
  • Golf & Disc Golf
  • Basketball Shooting
  • Softball & Volleyball
  • Bocce, Darts, Horseshoes, and more!

“The Senior Games have become a tradition that our community looks forward to every year,” said Cheryl Fox, Athletic Division Manager for the City of Pensacola. “We have seen so many inspiring stories and outstanding athletes over the years, and we are excited to continue that tradition with another great year of competition and camaraderie.”

Participants are encouraged to sign up early to secure their spots in their chosen events.
