Regina “Gina” McDonald Walther, a cherished member of the Milton community, passed away peacefully at her home on May 17, 2026, surrounded by her family. At 69 years old, Gina was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, known for her unwavering love and commitment to those she held dear.

Gina is preceded in death by her parents, Thelma and George McDonald, and her stepson, Dwayne “Buck” Walther. She is survived by her husband, William “Billy” Walther; daughters Stacey White, Georgina Hicks, and Melissa Stephens; and stepsons Randy Simmons, Chuck Walther (Rebecca), and Keith Walther (Teresa). Gina also leaves behind her sister, Wanda Taylor, sister-in-law Mary Elizabeth “Bootsy” Garrow, and special family member Sammy Dean.

As a proud Maw-Maw, Gina found immense joy in her grandchildren: Gracelyn, Caden, Jesse, Mason, Paisleigh, Chip, Emilee, Madison, Darla, Bill Henry, Amiee, Kristyn, Sissy, Colby, Ashton, Jordan, Charlie, and Carol May. She was also blessed with numerous great-grandchildren, including Addison, Amelia, Travis, Everlee, Rhett, Chandler, Willow, Griffin, Posie, Destin, Kaylee, Annie, Sebastian, Banks, Penelope, and Brody, each of whom brought her endless happiness.

Gina’s life was marked by her compassion and dedication to her family. She created a nurturing environment where everyone felt welcomed and loved. Her legacy of kindness will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her.

A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, starting at 10 AM, followed by a service at 11 AM.
