Remembering Timothy Allen Binder: A Pillar of the Milton Community

Timothy “Tim” Allen Binder, a beloved figure in the Milton community, passed away on July 14, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on February 25, 1959, in Sycamore, Illinois, Tim dedicated over 50 years of his life to making a positive impact in Milton, where he was known for his warmth, humor, and generosity.

Tim’s family was his greatest joy. He was a devoted husband to Michelle, with whom he shared 27 years of marriage, and was a proud father to his children. Many in the community knew him as a father figure, having opened his home to numerous kids over the years. His grandchildren were especially dear to him, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

With a rich career in the local food service industry, Tim was often referred to as “The Meat Man” during his time at Silcox, Grandma’s Restaurant, and the Food Outlet. He and Michelle also ran the well-loved restaurant “Tim and Shells,” where he shared his passion for southern comfort food. Known for his hospitality, Tim made it a point to feed anyone in need, ensuring no one left his home hungry.

Beyond his culinary talents, Tim was known for his quick wit and charm, bringing joy to everyone around him. In his leisure time, he enjoyed watching Chicago Cubs games, cheering for FSU football, and relaxing with his family while watching Hallmark movies.

Tim leaves a legacy of love and kindness, remembered fondly by countless individuals he touched throughout his life. He is survived by his wife, Michelle; siblings Cliff, Jeff (Pam), Robin, and John Paul (Mary); children Sarah, Kayleigh (Alex), and Aaron (Chantal); and grandchildren Brooklyn, Crimson, Nolan, Hank, Sunny, and Meadow.

A visitation will take place on Sunday, July 19th, at 2:00 p.m. at First Apostolic Church, located at 5574 Highway 90 West, Milton, Florida, 32571, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m.
