The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Central Baldwin County in southwestern Alabama…
Northwestern Escambia County in northwestern Florida…

* Until 600 PM CDT.

* At 438 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 7 miles southeast of Bay Minette to 8 miles east of
Stapleton to 4 miles northeast of Loxley, moving northeast at 70
mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
Century, Molino, and Bratt.

Precautionary / preparedness actions

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning
is one of nature’s leading killers. Remember, if you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 500 PM CDT for south central
and southwestern Alabama…and northwestern Florida.
