The National Weather Service has issued a Special Weather Statement for Escambia, Santa Rosa, and Baldwin counties. A strong thunderstorm moving south near Gonzalez could bring 50 mph wind gusts to Pensacola, Ferry Pass, Brent, Ensley, and Goulding.

At 442 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 5
miles southwest of Molino, or 6 miles northwest of Gonzalez, moving
south at 10 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
Pensacola, Ferry Pass, Brent, West Pensacola, Ensley, Gonzalez, and
Goulding.

Precautionary / preparedness actions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
