William “Mark” Beard, a longtime resident of Pensacola, Florida, passed away on the morning of May 18, 2026, at the age of 67. Originally from Liverpool, England, Mark made Pensacola his home for over 34 years.
An active member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church, Mark was well-known in the community. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Lisa L. Beard, as well as his parents, Sheila Burt and step-father Aubry Burt. His family also includes siblings Steven Beard (Lori), Sharon Beard, and Michelle Quijada, alongside his children Leslie Beard and William Beard, Jr. (Carolyn), and grandchildren Kaci Beard and Amelia Beard.
Mark’s family expressed their gratitude to the Council on Aging of West Florida and caregiver Anna H for their support in caring for him at home. They also thanked his Vitas nurse, Jenni, and caregiver Melody F., as well as the members of the Hillcrest Baptist Church Sunday School.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Council on Aging of West Florida or the Alzheimer’s Association. A visitation is scheduled for June 6, 2026, at Pensacola Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, starting at 10:00 AM, followed by a service at 12:00 PM.
