Pensacola, Fl. NewsWK — The City of Pensacola has officially announced a groundbreaking ceremony scheduled for June 17, 2026, to kick off extensive exterior renovations at the historic Fricker Resource Center.

Revitalizing Community Spaces

The major overhaul is a key component of the city’s ambitious Direction 25 program—a $22 million initiative completely dedicated to revitalizing public parks and community recreation spaces across the area.

Mayor D.C. Reeves shared his enthusiasm for the upcoming transformation and its impact on local residents:

“We’re building more than just a facility—we’re building a space that reflects the heart of this community”.
