Special Weather Statement: Escambia Inland; Santa Rosa Inland
The National Weather Service has issued a Special Weather Statement for inland Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. A strong thunderstorm capable of producing 50 mph wind gusts and pea-sized hail could impact areas including Molino and Point Baker.

At 509 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles northwest of Point Baker, or 12 miles northwest of Milton,
moving south at 10 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include…
Molino and Point Baker.
Precautionary / preparedness actions
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for
northwestern Florida.
