Special Weather Statement: Baldwin Central; Baldwin Coastal; Escambia Inland; Escambia Coastal

The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a special weather statement for western Escambia County and east central Baldwin County. Strong thunderstorms near Molino and Gonzalez could bring gusty winds reaching up to 50 mph.

At 319 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 9 miles west of Molino to 5 miles west of
Gonzalez. Movement was west at 15 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 to 50 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

These storms will remain over mainly rural areas of east central
Baldwin and western Escambia Counties.

Precautionary / preparedness actions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
