Community Mourns the Passing of Donald Enfinger, 88, of Pace, FL

Donald Enfinger, a beloved resident of Pace, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 25, 2026. He was 88 years old. Born on March 4, 1938, in nearby Chumuckla, Donald was a lifelong member of the community, known for his strong faith, work ethic, and dedication to family.

Throughout his life, Donald exemplified a commitment to hard work and service to others. He started his career as a stock clerk at Nowling’s Penny Profit during his teenage years and later became a respected meat cutter and market manager at Jitney Jungle and Delchamps, where he dedicated 36 years before retiring. Donald also found fulfillment in his work with Enfinger Flags & Poles, contributing to local events and gatherings.

His faith played a central role in his life. Donald was an active member of the Pensacola First Assembly of God Church, serving in various capacities including board member, bus driver, and Sunday School Superintendent. His kindness and willingness to help others made him a cherished figure in the community.

Donald is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, Ethel (Fowler) Enfinger, along with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He leaves behind a legacy of love and faith that will resonate within his family for generations.

Visitation for Donald will take place at Lewis Funeral Home in Pace on Sunday, June 28, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow on Monday, June 29, at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Lee Tate and Rev. Ron Williamson, with interment to follow at Elizabeth Chapel Community Cemetery in Chumuckla.
