…The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a Flood Warning
for the following rivers in Alabama…Florida…

Big Escambia Creek At Flomaton affecting Escambia County.

For the Big Escambia Creek…including Flomaton…Minor flooding is
forecast.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Big Escambia Creek at Flomaton.

* WHEN…From this afternoon to Saturday evening.

* IMPACTS…At 19.0 feet, Water begins to approach several homes on
north side of Highway 31.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 9:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 18.2 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage this
afternoon to a crest of 19.9 feet just after midnight tonight. It
will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon.
– Flood stage is 19.0 feet.

Precautionary / preparedness actions

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
