Mary Lee Frances Neal, a beloved member of the Pensacola community, passed away peacefully at the age of 85 on June 3, 2026. Known for her unwavering faith and the love she shared with everyone she met, Mary’s spirit will be remembered fondly by her family and friends.

Born on September 17, 1940, in Jay, Florida, Mary was the daughter of Marvin and Willie Barlow. She married Homer Edgar Neal on June 14, 1957, and together they built a loving home and family. Mary dedicated her life to raising her children and serving as a nurturing caregiver, leaving a lasting impact on many local children.

Mary’s passions included crocheting, gardening, videography, and photography, which she pursued throughout her life, creating cherished memories for her loved ones.

She is survived by her children, Shelby Douglas (Michael), Shirley Williams (Jesse), Sheila Gibbs (James), and Randall Neal (Brandi), as well as her brothers Earl and Jimmie Barlow, 10 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. Mary is reunited in heaven with her husband, Homer, and her parents.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the same location, with Pastor Henry Lewis officiating. Mary will be laid to rest at the Cottage Hill Community Center.
