MAYOR ANNOUNCES GROUNDBREAKING FOR HISTORIC FRICKER RESOURCE CENTER RENOVATION
Pensacola, Fl. NewsWK — The City of Pensacola has officially announced a groundbreaking ceremony scheduled for June 17, 2026, to kick off extensive exterior renovations at the historic Fricker Resource Center.

The major overhaul is a key component of the city’s ambitious Direction 25 program—a $22 million initiative completely dedicated to revitalizing public parks and community recreation spaces across the area.

Timeline and Temporary Closure
To ensure safety and accommodate the heavy construction equipment, the Fricker Resource Center has been temporarily closed to the public since late May 2026.
