Meredith Joy Brewer Hatchett, 84, passed away on April 6, 2026, at Bay Breeze Senior Living in Gulf Breeze, Florida. She was surrounded by her niece Kym and Martin Lewis during her final moments.

Born on August 4, 1941, in Meridian, Mississippi, Meredith graduated from Clinton High School in 1959. She was passionate about learning and self-expression, with a particular love for art and painting. Her work was showcased at Jackson Square in New Orleans, Louisiana, reflecting her artistic spirit.

Known for her vibrant and adventurous personality, Meredith was not only a talented painter but also an enthusiastic antique collector and dealer. She is remembered fondly for her strong character and charming demeanor.

Meredith was preceded in death by her parents, her devoted partner Father Bryan Hatchett, Ron Johnson, and three sisters: Kathleen, Josephine, and Dorothy. She is survived by her daughter Rhonda Johnson (Karen), two brothers Doug Brewer (Francis) and Olen B. Brewer II, her granddaughter Julianne Lewis Grant-Johnson (DJ), and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Her family wishes for her memory to be a blessing to all who knew and loved her. A private burial will take place in Alabama alongside her beloved Father Bryan Hatchett.
