Shelia Brown Henley, a cherished member of the Pensacola community, passed away on May 31, 2026, leaving behind a legacy filled with love, compassion, and unwavering faith. Known for her devotion to family and friends, Shelia dedicated her life to helping others and spreading warmth wherever she went.
Her life was marked by a simple mission: to lift others up, make them feel loved, and bring them closer to God. Shelia was selfless, always ready to offer her support without hesitation. Her warmth was evident in everything she did, from preparing home-cooked meals to crafting beautiful quilts, each lovingly stitched with care.
Shelia found joy in the company of her family, creating lasting memories that will be treasured. Her passion for singing brought happiness to many, and her beautiful voice had a way of brightening any room. “Her spirit was defined by warmth and generosity,” said a friend who knew her well.
Sheila leaves behind a rich legacy that includes her children Kay and Rosanna, her stepmother Joyce, and numerous siblings, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth E. Henley and several family members, but her memory will continue to inspire those who knew her.
A Celebration of Life is set for June 13 at 10:00 AM at Hamilton’s Pond, located at 243 South Pine Barren Road in McDavid, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Opening Doors of Northwest Florida.
