Remembering Tyler “Ty” Caraway-Appleby: A Celebration of Life in Pensacola

Tyler “Ty” James Caraway-Appleby, a 22-year-old resident of Milton and a cherished member of the community, passed away on January 10, 2026. Born on October 17, 2003, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Ty was known for his vibrant spirit and love for life.

Ty attended several local educational institutions, including Episcopal Day School and Catholic High School, and graduated from Santa Rosa Online Academy in 2022. He was a budding entrepreneur, establishing TCA Customs L.L.C. in April 2023, where he shared his passion for trucks and vehicle customization.

Despite facing challenges from multiple concussions that halted his sports activities, Ty remained optimistic and engaged in his interests, including soccer, basketball, and following the English Premier League. He had planned to visit England this year to reconnect with family and immerse himself in British traditions.

Ty was deeply committed to his family, friends, and community. He was known for his kindness, often helping those less fortunate by providing food, clothing, and companionship. His generosity extended to animals as well, as he actively participated in finding homes for stray dogs.

He is survived by his parents, Linzi Appleby and Melissa Caraway, along with numerous family members and friends who remember him for his unwavering support and infectious laughter. A celebration of Ty’s life will take place at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, located at 3200 N. 12th Avenue in Pensacola, on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 3 p.m., with a reception following the service. Bishop George Young will officiate, and the service will also be streamed live on the Waters and Hibbert Funeral Home website.
