Pick your territory wisely. Casino Beach right by the pier is the epicenter of bustle and mega-tents. When you crave a quiet morning, pack your wagon and drift slightly further down toward Park East or Park West. You will get the same sugar-white sand with half the canopy gridlock.
Finally, know when to let the tide take it. You did the right thing by speaking up kindly, but when people get defensive, arguing only ruins your morning. If someone refuses to be neighborly, shift your spot fifty yards down the beach, dip your toes in the water, and let the Gulf wash the annoyance away.
