Anna Mae Phillips, an 87-year-old resident of Pensacola, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on June 25, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. With a courageous spirit, she faced a long illness, cared for by her children, grandchildren, and her husband, Don.

Born on February 23, 1939, in Casco, Wisconsin, Anna spent her early years helping on her family’s farm, where she developed a strong work ethic that remained with her throughout her life. After completing her education at a one-room schoolhouse and Casco High School, she married Don on June 2, 1956.

As a devoted Navy wife, Anna and her family traveled extensively, living in various states and countries, including Virginia, California, and places as far as the Philippines. They settled in Pensacola in 1976, where Anna worked for 17 years at the Navy Exchange and later found joy working in local businesses, including a popular cake shop.

A dedicated member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Bellview, Anna served as a lector for twelve years and was an active participant in the church’s annual events. Her passion for quilting and gardening led her to create beautiful handcrafted items that reflected her love for family and community. Anna was also a familiar face at the Pensacola Interstate Fair, where she showcased her antiques and crafts, winning numerous awards for her creations.

Anna’s interests extended beyond crafting; she was an avid NASCAR fan and a loyal supporter of the Green Bay Packers, often cheering for her favorite teams on Sundays. However, the greatest joy in her life came from spending time with her family, creating lasting memories through vacations to Hawaii, Disney World, and family beach trips.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Don, five children, seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, along with numerous friends and loved ones. Anna was preceded in death by her parents and her brother.

The family will host a visitation on July 7, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at Faith Chapel (South) on Beverly Parkway, followed by funeral services at 12:30 pm. Interment will take place at Barrancas National Cemetery at Naval Air Station Pensacola at 2 pm.
