Sue Mullins Lundin, a beloved member of the Milton community, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on March 18, 1943, in Ozark, Alabama, she was the daughter of William Edward Mullins, Jr. and Dorothy Price Mullins.
After graduating from Carroll High School in 1961, Sue earned her bachelor’s degree from Troy University before relocating to Milton to pursue a career as a high school business teacher. It was at Chumuckla School, during an interview for a teaching position, that she met her husband, Bill Lundin.
In addition to her teaching career, Sue established Lundin’s Nursery and Florist, a local business she successfully owned and operated for over two decades. Her most significant contributions, however, were to her family and community. Together with Bill, she was involved in numerous local initiatives, including FFA fair exhibits and campaigning for Bill during his tenure as a County Commissioner. Sue was instrumental in advocating for Special Education classes in Santa Rosa County, passionately supporting her son, Mike, and others with intellectual disabilities.
Known for her kindness and humor, Sue was a founding member of Pine Terrace Baptist Church and participated in the Daughters of the American Revolution. She cherished painting and spending time in the mountains.
Sue is survived by her husband of 58 years, Bill; her son, Michael Lundin; her daughter, Amy Wooley (Eric); and her grandsons, Hunter and Colby Wooley. She also leaves behind her brother, William Mullins; sister-in-law, Gail Schick (Gary); nephews Geoff and Greg Schick (Lauren); and many great nieces and nephews, along with cherished neighbors Traci Turner, Leann McCombs, and Tasha Jernigan.
A funeral service will be held at Lewis Funeral Home Milton Chapel on Sunday, June 7, 2026. Visitation will take place from 1:00-2:00 PM, followed by the service at 2:00 PM, officiated by Reverend John Webb. Interment will follow at Serenity Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Visitation House, P.O. Box 25, DeLand, Florida 32721 or through their website.
